1. The Impact of Blogging on Fandom is an awesome Fanlore article that is mainly about what mailing list fans and LJ fans thought of LJ-type blogging as the new fannish platform. Especially interesting that some of the complaints against LiveJournal by mailing list fans are similar to the complaints against Tumblr by LiveJournal fans. Though at least one complaint is no longer valid--Tumblr posts seem to get Google-indexed almost instantaneously, so they're easier to search for, if not easier to navigate to.

2. Won't Do Me No Good Washing in the River, story by DevilDoll, podfic by Jinxy, art Rahciach. Teen Wolf, Derek/Stiles. I haven't listened to the podfic yet because the text was so emotionally brutal that I didn't think I was ready to be assaulted by audio feels. This story is painful and eerie, but has an almost happy ending. It was also posted in March, so probably everyone else has read it already. (I read it two weeks ago.) I also like the artist's style, but lack the vocabulary to describe it.

Thank you for all the copy-editing you've been doing on the Fanlore article.

Re tumblr and search engines- many tumblr posts are not showing up on Google - ever. The reasons are complex - but my posts are not showing up, even though I turned on the 'let the search engines index my tumblr" function: http://science.opposingviews.com/make-tumblr-findable-google-15459.html

I think this article (even if a few years old) offers more insight:
http://linearfix.tumblr.com/post/21839961090/why-tumblr-blogs-perform-poorly-in-google-search

and of course, it is possible that if my tumblr was ever flaged NSFW (by anyone) Google removed it from the index feed at tumblr's request months ago and has not/will not add it back even though tumblr says they have changed its policy (once Google has been told "no crawl/no index" it may require an affirmative resubmission. If all NSFW blogs were labeled as "no index" (even those where the owner did not mark them NSFW), that may be blocking Google

since I am using my tumblr to push out fandom history posts, I really wanted it indexed. My blog OTOH has so many personal posts. reading all those early days of LJ and personal vs public blogging discussions made me look back at my own blogging trends. and I see how I've cycled through more-less-more-less-more visibility. usually tied into the state of my health at the time.

BTW, you can submit a page to Google to have it crawled
