Yes, but in the context of, like, "It was a fandom RPG online, not, like, tabletop," while sharing our tragic pasts among RL friends. If it has a more specific meaning I don't know it.

Yes, I basically extrapolated from specific fandoms, like HP RPG or twitter Glee RPG (I actually just saw this today: http://superharmonminds.tumblr.com/post/141668562675/gleefully-written-prompt-2. So I probably think more of the concept of fannish LJ/Tumblr/Twitter RPGs as opposed to TT RPGs...

Yeah, we are all BOFQ enough that most of our fandom rp experience was forums and mls, actually. But it's in a friend group where it's equally likely it might be white wolf larp or a jrpg or a MUD if you just say rpg and specifying the fandom doesn't help if people don't know that fandom so we use "fandom rpg" for that category of freeform character-based text-based online rp fairly often.

I wouldn't consider it a term of art yet, though, just a useful adjective when it's not clear from context. And idk if I've seen it online.

Yeah, that's exactly how I read it.

And of course when you get into the thick of it, there are so many different intersections where TT becomes storytelling becomes chatRPG becomes...

[OT, but my kid just proudly told me that he wrote a dice roll program in Discord so he can play D&D online with his friends who've gone off to different colleges so they only get to play in person during breaks :) not quite TT and yet obviously TT :)]
